Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized, protecting patients and staff. You will perform daily cleaning tasks and use specialized equipment to sanitize, learning proper disposal of biohazard materials and delivering linens.

You must follow safety and infection control guidelines, HIPAA privacy, and collaborate with the patient care team to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for all.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas and equipment.
• Follow infection prevention practices including hand hygiene and PPE, and HIPAA privacy requirements.
• Maintain cleaning carts, supplies and equipment; dispose waste per regulations.
• Collaborate with the patient care team and mentor new Environmental Services staff.
