Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking a Travel Echo Technologist and Cardiac Sonographer for a multispecialty ultrasound contract in Plainview, Texas. The on-site assignment spans cardiac, general, obstetric, breast, and vascular imaging with Epic EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer/multispecialty ultrasound experience.
• Proficiency in adult echocardiography, contrast echo, and treadmill stress echocardiography.
• Experience with general, fetal, obstetric, breast, transvaginal, and vascular ultrasound examinations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality adult echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, and treadmill stress echocardiograms.
• Complete general, abdominal, vascular, breast, obstetric, fetal, pediatric, and transvaginal ultrasound examinations.
• Perform Doppler, color flow, M-mode, duplex, and related techniques.
• Maintain records in Epic and PACS; adhere to safety and infection-control procedures.
• Collaborate with radiology and care teams to support diagnostic services.
• Assist with precepting and supporting other clinicians as needed.

Travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer – Multispecialty Ultrasound Contract in Plainview, Texas

Position Overview

Join a collaborative hospital imaging team as a multispecialty Echo Technologist and Cardiac Sonographer in Plainview, Texas. This on-site travel healthcare assignment offers the opportunity to apply advanced echocardiography and ultrasound expertise across cardiac, vascular, general, obstetric, breast, and fetal imaging. Plainview provides a welcoming Texas Panhandle community with wide-open skies, a relaxed pace, and convenient access to outdoor recreation and regional amenities.

Travel Healthcare Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,710–$2,920
• Start Date: February 1, 2027
• End Date: May 3, 2027
• Location: Plainview, Texas
• Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital imaging department
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, approximately 07:00–17:30
• Call Requirement: Weeknights from 17:00–08:00 and 24-hour weekend call coverage; flexibility with call is required
• Scheduling: Block scheduling is required; weekend coverage is through call
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic experience required

Echo Technologist and Cardiac Sonographer Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant Echo Technologist, Cardiac Sonographer, or multispecialty ultrasound experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in adult echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, and treadmill stress echocardiography
• Experience with general ultrasound, fetal ultrasound, obstetric, breast, transvaginal, and vascular examinations
• Current BLS certification
• One of the following credentials: ARDMS, ARDMS-VT, CCI, or RDCS
• Ability to work independently, manage a diverse diagnostic imaging workload, and respond reliably to call requirements
• Strong documentation, communication, and patient-care skills

Multispecialty Ultrasound Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality adult echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, and treadmill stress echocardiograms
• Complete general, abdominal, vascular, breast, obstetric, fetal, pediatric, and transvaginal ultrasound examinations
• Perform diagnostic studies using Doppler, color flow, M-mode, duplex, and related ultrasound techniques
• Evaluate and document examinations for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Provide on-call cardiac and diagnostic imaging support during weeknights and weekends
• Maintain accurate records in Epic and PACS while following applicable safety and infection-control procedures
• Collaborate with radiology and interdisciplinary care teams to support timely diagnostic services
• Assist with precepting and supporting other clinicians as needed
