Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Dietitian for the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center Nutrition Services Program in Martinez, CA. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating nutrition care for hospital patients and coordinating with medical staff and food services.

The ideal candidate will hold an RD credential or be on an internship path with exam eligibility, and will contribute to patient education and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certificate of Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Possess internship pathway: Accredited Dietetic Internship Program and pass the RD examination before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutrition needs of high-risk patients and develop care plans.
• Conduct nutrition education for individuals and groups.
• Collaborate with physicians, food service, and health care team to provide optimal nutrition care.
• Monitor and document nutrition care progress and quality assurance data.
• Develop menu patterns aligned with physician orders and patient needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary nutrition rounds and policy updates.
