Job summary

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital in Orlando, FL is seeking a dietary services assistant to prepare and serve regular and special diets under supervision. You’ll follow menus, assist with substitutions, and ensure meals are presented attractively and at proper temperatures for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include serving meals, maintaining clean dining areas, and supporting the dietary department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.
• 1 year of experience in a behavioral health facility is highly preferred.
• Willingness to cooperate with others and be reliable.
• Must be able to attend orientations (Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve regular and special diets to patients and staff.
• Follow production sheets and menus; manage substitutions when needed.
• Ensure appealing presentation and proper temperatures on serving lines and in storage areas.
• Serve meals to patients and assist with meal cleanup and sanitation.
