Job summary

United Hospital Center is seeking a Dietetic Assistant to perform a variety of food service duties within the dietary department. Responsibilities include meal assembly, tray preparation, serving patients and customers, and maintaining sanitary work areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a food handlers card (or obtaining one within 30 days). Training may be provided for PIC as needed and safety standards are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand written and oral communication.
• Familiarity with basic computer applications such as Word.
• Ability to speak clearly on the telephone and assist customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work areas and maintains sanitation throughout the shift.
• Set up area, restock, and keep work spaces clean and organized.
• Produce quality food and beverages according to recipes and menus.
• Serve customers, handle orders, and address complaints professionally.
• Follow safety, sanitation and quality guidelines per policy.
• Document temperatures of refrigerators and equipment as assigned.
