Job summary

The Utah Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is seeking a Director of Dietary Services to oversee the hospital's Food Service Department and its dietitians. You will ensure nutritious meals for patients and staff, approve menus including modified diets, and lead a team in a clean, safe environment.

The role requires RD licensure in Utah, a qualifying degree (Bachelor's pre-2020 or Master’s post-2020), and a Food Safety Manager Certification, with leadership experience in a hospital setting

Qualifications

• RD licensure is required in Utah.
• Bachelor's degree pre-2020 or Master's degree post-2020 as applicable.
• FSM certification required for food safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Food Service Department and Dietitian activities, ensuring nutritious and appealing meals for patients and staff.
• Manage supply inventory, purchasing, and proper storage of foods and supplies.
• Lead and develop the food service team and ensure a sanitary environment.
• Approve hospital menus, including modified diets, and ensure accuracy of dietary plans.
• Conduct nutrition assessments and offer counseling to patients and families on dietary plans.
