What You’ll Do

Every delivery you make supports a hospital and ultimately a patient who may be waiting for the blood products you’re transporting. In this role, you will:

  • Maintain proper handling, chain of custody and temperature‑control requirements for blood products throughout transportation to ensure product quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Safely load, secure and unload blood products, supplies and equipment, following standard operating procedures and delivery confirmation processes.
  • Accurately document and track deliveries, pickups and transportation activities using established systems while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with hospital staff, Distribution teams and other internal partners to coordinate deliveries, manage changing priorities and provide excellent customer service as a Vitalant representative.
  • Operate Vitalant vehicles safely by performing routine vehicle inspections, following traffic laws and safety requirements, and adapting to changing routes, weather, traffic conditions and urgent delivery needs.
