Job summary

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services teammate to maintain a clean, safe patient environment. The role covers mornings with rotating weekends and holidays, with hours 4:00am-12:00 and 6:00am-2:30pm, and requires dependable team collaboration.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, offices, and hallways; handling trash and recycling; cleaning walls, floors, and fixtures; and assisting with equipment movement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team and patients.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and neat environment in patient rooms, offices, lounges, hallways, and lobby areas.
• Participate in cleaning activities including walls, ceilings, vents, lights, baseboards, windows, and light bulbs.
• Maintain clean floor surfaces with dusting, buffing, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Dispose of trash properly and assist with relocation of office and hospital furniture and equipment.
