Job summary

Banner Casa Grande Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Culinary & Nutrition staff member to plan daily food production and prepare items from recipes and menus. You will work in a 141-bed facility serving diverse patients with a team-focused kitchen environment.

This role offers weekend and night shift differentials (1$/hour weekend, 18% night when applicable) and requires 2+ years of production cooking experience and knowledge of safety and food handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• 2+ years of similar work experience in production cooking and solid understanding of cooking principles.
• Ability to learn and follow policies, read instructions, and perform recipe calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items according to standardized recipes and adjusts yields.
• Plans production timing and quantities based on orders and menus.
• Minimizes food waste through proper planning and tracking.
• Checks temperatures of food and equipment and follows safety requirements.
• Maintains par levels and restocks items as needed.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly and reports equipment needs.
• May oversee deliveries and production quality as required.
• Provides leadership and cooks in a team environment.
