Job summary

Kindred Hospital Westminster is seeking a culinary assistant to prepare and serve food for patients, staff, and special events, following established recipes and safety guidelines.

You will handle meal trays, stock and rotate supplies, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen while adhering to infection control standards and patient dietary requirements.

Responsibilities also include cashier duties for cafe service, handling cash and POS, and maintaining accurate records and cash drawer discipline.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Experience with menu management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing food following department standardized recipes, planned menus, and policies and procedures.
• Serves and portions food per patient diet order, department standardized recipes, planned menus, and policies and procedures.
• Follow standardized menus for patients and cafeteria food preparation.
• Cashier for cafe meal service; balance drawer and handle cash with accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas and comply with infection control standards.
