Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Hospital Driver to join the LabCouriers team. The role involves daily scheduling and unscheduled trips to pickup and deliver laboratory specimens, reports, and supplies from outpatient facilities and physician offices.

Shift options include part-time 20 hours/week (4pm-12am Mon–Wed) or full-time 40 hours/week (Sat–Wed 8:30am-4:30pm). A valid Michigan driver's license is required and prior experience is not necessary.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Driver’s License is required.
• No prior experience is required.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Drives hospital vehicle on scheduled and unscheduled trips to pickup and deliver laboratory specimens, reports and supplies.
• Completes deliveries using procedures, schedules and client instructions; notifies Manager if delivery is not completed.
• Assigns priorities during multiple requests and reports problems to a Manager or Section Leader for timely resolution.
• Completes pickups and deliveries for other hospital departments (Materials Management, Radiology, Cardiology, Urgent Care) and may transport medical waste.
• Answers client questions and refers requests to Manager, Section Leader, or Client Representative when needed.
