Job summary

UNMH Jobs is seeking a General Stores Clerk for the UH department. The role involves receiving, distributing, and transporting mail, materials, and specimens to designated personnel and departments, with a broad range of clerical duties.

No patient care responsibilities are involved. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 6 months of related experience, plus a NM driver’s license and a vehicle operator’s permit within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1/2 year (6 months) directly related experience.
• Valid New Mexico Driver's License.
• UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit w/in 60 days.
• Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Subject to random alcohol and substance testing.

Responsibilities

• RECORDS - Prepare and maintain various records and logs to include vehicle mileage and fuel
• CLERICAL SUPPORT - Perform a broad range of general duties to include typing and filing
• CUSTOMER SERVICE - Provide quality customer service; respond to requests and pages in a timely manner
• MAIL AND MATERIALS - Receive, distribute and transport mail, materials, supplies and specimens to designated personnel and/or departments
• RELATED WORK - Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
