Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Driver/Courier to transport mail, specimens, and supplies between locations. The role requires maintaining logs, delivering on time, and responding to ad hoc requests while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

The position involves driving a courier vehicle, ensuring proper maintenance, and safely assisting passengers as needed. A HS diploma, five years of experience, and a valid driver’s license are required; AHA Heartsaver training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of work experience.
• Driver's License.
• AHA Heartsaver or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers mail, specimens, supplies, reports, etc. following established schedules and guidelines.
• Responds to ad hoc requests from department staff for additional stops.
• Handles materials in accordance with organization policies and regulations.
• Maintains logs and documentation for all deliveries and obtains required signatures.
• Maintains regular communication with supervisor and staff, responding to calls and radio messages.
• Monitors demand for courier services and reports changes in routing and schedules.
• Transports patients, employees, visitors, and property to appropriate locations safely.
