Job summary

Reporting to the Director of Nutritional Services, you may supervise kitchen staff in the director's absence and ensure all duties meet local, state and federal regulations. A Food Workers’ certificate is required within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced culinary skills; Knowledge of modified and therapeutic diets preferred
• Minimum 2-4 year previous experience with hospital or institutional food preparation required
• Food Workers’ certificate required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot food items for patient trayline, cafeteria, doctor's lounge, and catering functions according to production schedule
• Supervises kitchen staff in absence of director or chef and acts as lead person
• Ensures all duties comply with local, state and federal regulations
