Mission Regional Medical Center is seeking a Hospital Cook to prepare meals for staff, patients, and visitors in a hospital cafeteria. You will work with dietitians to create nutritious menus, manage inventory, and keep a clean, compliant kitchen environment.

The role requires at least two years of food service experience, knowledge of therapeutic diets is preferred, and county food handler certification is required on hire. This is a full-time, on-site position with 8-hour shifts.

Competenze

• Minimum two years in food service; institutional cook experience preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets desirable.
• County-specific Food Handlers certification required on hire and maintained current.

• Cook meals according to recipes, portion sizes, and nutritional guidelines provided by dietitians
• Prepare specialized diets for patients with specific medical or dietary needs, such as low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, or pureed foods
• Collaborate with dietitians and food service managers to develop menus that are balanced, appealing, and compliant with hospital policies and patient requirements
