Dominion Hospital in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Part-Time Hospital Cook to join our Dietary Services team.

Prepare and cook meals per menus and therapeutic diets, ensuring safety and quality. Collaboration with the Dietary Manager and team is essential to meet residents’ nutritional needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cooking experience in healthcare, long-term care, assisted living, hospitality, or restaurant setting is required.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and dietary instructions.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Committed to providing exceptional service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirements.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time while maintaining quality, taste, and proper food temperatures.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Practice proper portion control and food presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, inventory management, food storage, labeling, and stock rotation.
• Work with Dietary Manager and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
• Maintain compliance with all regulations.

What You'll Do:
