Job summary

Kindred Hospital New Jersey - Rahway, a 34-bed long-term acute care hospital on the 4th floor of RWJ University Hospital in Rahway, seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care and daily living activities under RN supervision.

You will assist patients with ADLs, provide comfort, document care, and work collaboratively with the nursing team. Required: Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS, plus six months in acute/long-term care. Fluency in English and reliable attendance are essential.

Responsibilities

Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area.
Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
Takes and records vital signs and measurements; documents timely.
Prepares patient rooms and assists with admissions, transfers and discharges.
Responds to patient calls and requests; supports patient comfort.
Assists with routine treatment procedures under RN direction.
Aids in feeding and meal service as needed.
