Job summary

Medical Center Hospital in Texas is seeking an experienced clinical pharmacy specialist to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy across the hospital. The role includes contributing to policies, mentoring residents, and collaborating with the pharmacy team to support strategic goals.

Requirements include Texas license and a pharmacotherapy residency or board certification, ACLS/PALS/ATLS as applicable, and a PharmD degree.

Qualifications

Active Texas Pharmacy License.
Preceptor license for Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy required.
Registered Pharmacist with Texas Board.
Specialty certification (BCPS/BCCCPs) preferred.
Completion of a residency or 3+ years hospital clinical pharmacy experience.
Board certification in a related specialty within 3 years if not already achieved.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective medication therapy in hospital settings.
Develop and maintain policies related to medication usage and clinical services.
Precept pharmacy residents and students as scheduled by Residency Program Directors and Committee.
Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to support hospital strategic goals.
