Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide safe, evidence-based medication use and patient-centered pharmaceutical care within a multidisciplinary rounding team.

The ideal candidate will verify orders, monitor therapies, prepare sterile and parenteral medications, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize outcomes while adhering to USP guidelines and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
• Current licensed Pharmacist in good standing.
• Residency completed is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications per orders.
• Verify CPOE orders for accuracy and safety.
• Transcribe orders to patient profiles with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot COE orders and clarify when needed.
• Prepare sterile and parenteral medications following USP 797/800.
• Evaluate TPN appropriateness per guidelines.
• Issue controlled substances per policy and maintain records.
• Monitor therapies for interactions and contraindications.
