Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree from a college of pharmacy.
• Licensure as a Pharmacist in South Carolina.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to work under supervision and handle emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide drug education and counsels patients on appropriate drug use.
• Provide education to pharmacy staff, students and other healthcare professionals.
• Utilize pharmacokinetic and drug dosing protocols and provide pharmacokinetic consultations.
• Evaluate drug therapy orders for appropriateness of dosage, route, interval, schedule and duration during patient hospitalization.
• Participate in patient care rounds to monitor drug therapy.
• Report adverse drug reactions or medication errors and document recommendations in EPIC.
