Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the state board.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Ability to work with hospital pharmacotherapy systems.

Responsibilities

• Check medications leaving the department for accuracy and quality.
• Dispense medications from physician orders and ensure proper dosing.
• Enter orders into the computer and maintain current medication records.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding orders and drug interactions.
• Monitor for adverse drug reactions and participate in drug optimization.
• Oversee technicians operating Omnicell and assist with pharmacokinetic dosing.
