Job summary

The Clinical Dietitian at Nebraska Methodist Health System provides medical nutrition therapy in compliance with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and works within an interdisciplinary team. Oncology experience is preferred and new graduates are welcome.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 8am to 4:30pm with every sixth weekend and holiday; duties include education, nutrition planning, and ongoing patient support across the aging continuum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Human Nutrition or equivalency.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience with patients preferred.
• RD/RDN board eligibility required within 3 months of hire; LMNT license in Nebraska within 3 months; LD in Iowa within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments across the five domains of the nutrition care process.
• Identify nutrition diagnoses and document PES statements.
• Develop and implement nutrition plans of care with the care team.
• Communicate plans to team and ensure delivery of interventions.
• Monitor outcomes and adjust plans as needed; provide nutrition education to patients and families.
