Job summary

Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced hospital housekeeping professional to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. You will clean and service building areas, move furniture and supplies, and operate a variety of cleaning equipment per established procedures.

The role requires lifting at least 60 pounds and prior cleaning experience in hospitals or similar facilities, with physical ability to perform ladder work and extended cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• High School education; read and follow directions.
• Must have experience cleaning hospitals, schools, hotels, nursing homes, or other public facilities.
• Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds.
• Must be able to move furniture and operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services building areas per procedures.
• Loads carts and transports supplies to work areas.
• Cleans furniture, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal solutions.
• Cleans walls, doors, ceilings, windows; strips and polishes floors.
• Operates cleaning equipment including buffers and vacuums.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment repairs and safety hazards.
• Returns unused supplies and keeps carts orderly.
• May hang cubicle drapes or reach high areas for cleaning.
• May collect waste and linen; handles hazardous waste per Infection Control guidelines.
• Arranges furniture for meetings and events.
