Job summary

UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking a hospital housekeeping aide to maintain sanitary and orderly conditions across patient rooms, offices, and restrooms. Responsibilities include following established cleaning procedures and responding to environmental service requests, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Typical duties involve cleaning occupied/discharged rooms, surface sanitization, waste handling, and maintaining cleanliness of carts and storage areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months experience in hospital housekeeping is preferred.
• Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans occupied and discharged patient rooms, offices and restrooms, removing waste according to guidelines; restores surfaces.
• Cleans and prepares environmental surfaces including furniture, beds, fixtures, walls, curtains, and vents following universal precautions.
• Dusts and mops areas, responds to requests, and supports various assignments as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness of housekeeping carts and storage areas; reports repairs.
• Responds to STAT calls and transfers furniture as needed.
• Collects and sorts recyclable materials and operates within recycling processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
