Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking a Central Supply Technician to stock and manage inventory across the hospital and campuses.

You will forecast needs, replenish supplies to par levels, notify leadership of shortages, and ensure accurate cost center charging. This role interacts with many departments to support patient care by keeping essential items available. A high school diploma is required with good math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good math and counting skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Forecast the amount of supplies needed to order for each refill location.
• Review refill reports and replenish each supply to pre-determined par levels.
• Notify appropriate management when supplies are not available for distribution.
• Charge supply items to the appropriate department cost center.
• Deliver materials on demand when requested.
• Manage stocking locations, inventory, and cycle counts monthly.
• Perform all other duties related to Central Supply.
