Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is hiring a Masters Social Worker to provide compassionate advocacy and social work services for hospitalized and emergency department patients in the Puget Sound region.

The role includes crisis intervention, patient/family support, high-risk screening, brief counseling, and coordination of post-acute placement with community resources. Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of local resources are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• 1 year post-MSW experience or clinical/social work internship in a clinical/medical setting.
• Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) or Licensed Advanced Social Worker or Licensed Social Worker Associate Advanced or Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor.

Responsabilités

• Provide crisis intervention and patient/family interventions.
• Perform social work assessments and high-risk screening.
• Arrange post-acute placement and coordinate with community resources.
• Facilitate patient/family meetings with health care team; arrange referrals.
• Support developmentally appropriate care and discharge planning; advocate for patients and families.
