Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated Cafeteria Station Production Cook to assist with daily cafe operations and meal preparation for patients, visitors, and staff. You will follow HACCP guidelines and work alongside the Sous Chef to ensure timely service and accurate recipe execution.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years in food service, and a ServSafe-like mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; associate degree in Culinary preferred.
• Experience: 4+ years in restaurant, hotel, club, or healthcare kitchen.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Line Production Cook with daily cafe operations.
• Prepare food for patients, visitors, and staff per menus and recipes.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food preparation and storage.
• Assemble and plate final meals with attention to presentation and portion control.
• Process cafeteria orders and accommodate special requests.
• Maintain clean, sanitized work areas and proper food handling.
• Read recipes and prepare ingredients; support events as needed.
