Glendora Hospital is seeking a full-time cook to join the Hospital Cafeteria team. The role includes setting up service lines, pre-plating foods, cooking, grilling and serving hospital staff, with weekends and holidays required.

Responsibilities include reviewing menus and production sheets, preparing meals, plating for presentation, and maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all steps of the process.

Responsabilidades

• Follows proper food safety procedures for receiving food and supplies.
• Stores food and supplies according to established procedures.
• Follows quantity recipes.
• Cooks and holds foods at the proper temperature.
• Thaws hazardous food and meats safely.
• Monitors refrigeration with accurate labeling and dating.
• Prepares special and therapeutic diets as required.
• Reads meal tallies and patient tickets to account for textures and allergies.
• Adheres to sanitization, PI measures and facility policies.
• Follows safety and legal requirements for patient care.
• Completes reports and tasks in a timely manner; may join committees.
• Completes follow-up activities promptly.
• Maintains respectful communication with staff.
• Reports to Dietary Supervisor and Director.
• Attends monthly in-service trainings.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality.
