Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a friendly Cashier for the hospital cafeteria to provide courteous, accurate POS service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will receive payments, issue change, and help customers with food selections in a fast-paced dining area.

You will restock items, maintain cleanliness, and cooperate with the food service team to ensure safe, efficient daily operations while upholding Trinity Health's hospitality standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases by accurately receiving payments, issuing change, and maintaining cash-drawer controls.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, including helping locate items and answering basic product questions.
• Restock food, beverages, utensils, and supplies to ensure availability throughout operating hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier station, service counters, and surrounding dining areas in compliance with food-safety standards.
• Record and reconcile transactions, report discrepancies, and follow established cash-handling policies.
• Collaborate with nutrition services staff to support cafeteria operations and uphold service expectations.
