Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking a Relief Cook to support Café and patient operations in a part-time capacity. You will prepare and serve food and beverages, follow HACCP and sanitation standards, and handle POS transactions with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare and serve food and beverages following recipes, portion controls, food safety practices, sanitation standards, and HACCP requirements.
• Ability to learn menu offerings, pricing, Café equipment, POS processes, and opening/closing procedures.
• Ability to accurately handle cash, electronic payments, refunds, voids, and other POS transactions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills to create a friendly, welcoming, professional experience.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently, including during solo coverage, while also contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and beverages for Café guests, patient operations, and catered events.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP requirements for receiving, preparing, storing, labeling, and monitoring temperatures.
• Process POS transactions including cash and electronic payments, refunds and voids.
• Stock and merchandise food and beverage displays maintaining an attractive presentation.
• Complete opening and closing responsibilities for daily Café service.
• Operate, clean, and maintain Café equipment safely and according to guidelines.
• Maintain clean, safe Café spaces and coordination with kitchen and staff for inventory and events.
• Address customer concerns professionally using HEART service recovery; report to supervisors as needed.
