Qualifications

• Meets dress code standards; appearance is neat and clean.
• Completes annual education requirements.
• Maintains regulatory requirements.
• Wears identification requirements.
• Attends Department meetings/in-services and other hospital meetings, as appropriate.
• Actively participates in Department’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
• Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the hospital, as well as the focus statement of the Department.

Responsibilities

• Operates cash register and handles money accurately.
• Stocks and replenishes food items, wares and supplies.
• Prepares and labels menu items clearly for customers.
• Maintains sanitation; participates in HACCP program.
• Assists with cleaning duties and keeps cafe clean and sanitized.
• Provides courteous service to customers and resolves issues professionally.
• Counts money with supervisor and completes cashier’s slips.
• Ensures all condiments and items are available for customers.
• Restocks items according to stocking list and on-shift needs.
