Job summary

Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA seeks a Stationary Maintenance Mechanic (Boiler Mechanic, High Pressure Boiler Operator) to operate and maintain stationary boilers and related equipment. The role supports hospital heating, sterilization, and re-hot applications, with shift flexibility including nights and holidays.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of boiler plant experience, a high school diploma, and a Virginia-registered Tank Operator certification.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience working as a Boiler plant operator
• Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers and associated equipment safely to generate steam
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and repair mechanical equipment such as motors, fans, pumps, valves and boilers
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks through the computerized maintenance program
• Monitor water treatment systems and adjust chemical dosages as required
• Schedule and support 24/7/365 coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays
