The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Maine state licensure as High Pressure Boiler Operator is required, along with a valid state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Maine state licensure as High Pressure Boiler Operator required.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record required.

Responsabilités

• Operates and maintains boilers, including maintaining proper combustion conditions, steam pressures and temperatures.
• Performs tests on boiler feed water and prepares required logs and reports.
• Blows down boilers and water columns; logs instrument readings, temperatures and pressures.
• Performs startup and stop of other mechanical equipment as directed and inspects physical buildings.
• Responds to alarms and maintains safety guidelines in a hospital environment.
