RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Logistics Coordinator at RWJ Hamilton in Hamilton, NJ. The role supports bed management, patient placement, and coordination with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient throughput.

Responsibilities include updating bed status, admissions/discharges, and collaborating with Case Management while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high accuracy in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Exceptional organizational skills are required.
• Medical terminology knowledge and computer skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in the appropriate bed and maintain bed management system accuracy.
• Track bed assignments and ensure timely patient movement within the hospital.
• Complete admissions, transfers, discharges based on medical orders.
• Verify and reconcile hospital census with clinical teams.
• Communicate with physicians, clinical teams and environmental services to ensure timely placements.
• Attend daily bed management huddles and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in handling patient information.
