Job summary

BMC Berkeley Medical Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language-swallowing therapy. The role requires licensure in the relevant state and ASHA CCC within 48 months, with BLS within 30 days of hire.

The candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive care, documentation, and supervision of students as needed. This is a hospital-based, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Current Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state where services will be provided.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) within 48 months of hire OR must be obtained within 48 months of hire.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordinated patient care including assessment and rehabilitation within an interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluate speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive needs and develop treatment plans.
• Document treatments per department policies and provide updates.May supervise graduate assistants, interns, and students.
