Job summary

22nd Century Healthcare in Dayton, OH seeks a hospital-based physician with MD or DO credentials to provide a full range of clinical services under MTF privileges. You will lead, teach, and collaborate with medical staff while maintaining best-practice standards.

The role requires completion of an ACGME residency, active US medical license, ABMS or AOA certification, and experience aligned with credentialing guidelines.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Graduation from a US or Canada medical school or AMA-accredited international school or ECFMG certification evidence.
• Board certification recognized by ABMS or AOA.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency.
• Current, full, active medical license to practice.
• Experience aligned with credentialing instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.
• Clinically direct, perform, or assist in instruction of other health care professionals within scope of clinical privileges.
• Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe within training and privileges.
• Provide preventive and health maintenance care including annual physicals and counseling.
• Order diagnostic tests and coordinate with other physicians or clinics as indicated.
• Direct and teach medical staff, provide education and in-service training per standards.
• Coordinate with facility and community resources for multidisciplinary care.
• Perform emergency services or crisis intervention including life-saving procedures when necessary.
• Promote preventive care and encourage lifestyle changes, with follow-up to assess care and therapy response.
• Provide advice by telephone or in person to physicians and other medical staff on urgent and non-urgent issues.
• Serve on professional staff or faculty to provide advisory/consultative services in meetings and boards.
• Evaluate care and identify opportunities to improve care delivery; recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in QA, performance improvement and risk management programs; suggest method improvements.
