Brown University Health is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide care for specialized populations in inpatient and outpatient settings at Rhode Island Hospital. The role includes prophylaxis, scaling, radiographs, fluoride, patient education and collaboration with the dental team.

Under supervision of the Dental Director and staff dentist, you will contribute to age-specific care, maintain records, follow infection control policies and support departmental improvement initiatives.

Competenze

• Completion of an accredited Dental Hygienist program.
• Must be legally licensed and registered in Rhode Island.
• Certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Knowledge of instruments and materials for procedures.
• Certification in local anesthesia if required by RI.
• Demonstrated ability to operate computer systems.
• Interpersonal skills to work with patients, families and dentists.

Mansioni

• Perform complete subgingival and supragingival scaling, root planing and polishing.
• Expose and develop intraoral radiographs.
• Record patient health information and treatment plans.
• Provide fluoride treatments and sealants.
• Assist dentist and maintain sterile environment.
• Prepare operatory and dental trays for daily procedures.
