Job summary

Baptist Health Fort Smith Hospital Based seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant to join the IMA team. The APRN/PA will manage health problems and coordinate care for their patient population in collaboration with the health care team, in accordance with state and federal rules and nursing standards.

Working hours are 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Sunday, every other week, with an 80-hour bi-weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
• Current NP or PA licensure with prescriptive authority.
• Current certification in specialty area.
• Current BLS and/or ACLS and PALS as required by department.
• Must be acute care certified.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status, diagnose, develop plan of care and evaluate patient status.
• Coordinate health care for assigned patient population in collaboration with health care team.
• Provide clinical management in accordance with state and federal rules and nursing standards.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program

NP/PA Licensure with prescriptive authority

Certification in specialty area

BLS and/or ACLS and PALS as department requires
