Job summary

Baptist Health Arkansas is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant for Internal Medicine Assoc. This full-time night-shift role operates on a 7-on/7-off schedule from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, reporting to the Internal Medicine Assoc department in Little Rock.

The APRN/PA collaborates with the health care team to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care, ensuring effective treatment plans and coordination across services according to state and federal rules.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current NP or PA licensure with prescriptive authority.
• Current certification in specialty area.
• BLS and/or ACLS and PALS as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and diagnose in collaboration with the care team.
• Develop and implement plan of care; coordinate treatments.
• Monitor patient status and adjust care as needed.

Summary:
The APRN is a licensed independent practitioner who is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for their assigned patient population in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status). Clinical management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members.

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Licensure with prescriptive authority.
• Current certification in specialty area.
