Job summary

Maryland Oncology Hematology (MOH) is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our hospital-based hematology/oncology team serving Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD. The role focuses on inpatient care at the top of your license while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates will have an MSN and NP/PA/CNS credentials, RN licensure, BLS, and several years of oncology experience.

Qualifications

  • MSN from an accredited nursing program.
  • Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • RN license and current state registration.
  • NCCPA certification or CNS/NP credentials preferred.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Typically 3 years of clinical experience in the chosen specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Inpatient management of complex oncology and hematology patients.
  • Collaborate with hematologists, oncologists, hospitalists, pharmacists and nurses.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making and patient management in a supportive learning environment.
  • Structured onboarding and mentoring from experienced oncology APPs and physicians.

The general pay scale for this position at MOH is $89,470.81 - $137,647.40 per year.

The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

Sign-On Bonus:

We are excited to offer qualified candidates hired into this position are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $20,000.00, payable in accordance with company policy. Bonus eligibility is contingent upon meeting all onboarding requirements and maintaining employment in good standing for a minimum of 3 years. Additional terms and conditions may apply.

May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, patient educator, administrator, or researcher. Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Nurse Practitioner

Mastersof Sciencein Nursing (MSN) fromanaccredited nursingschooland successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.This position typically requiresaminimumof 3yearsofexperience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably inthe chosen specialty. RN state licensureand current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure asaNurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred.Currentbasic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

OR

Physician Assistant

Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.This position typically requiresa minimum of3yearsofexperience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably inthe chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Currentbasic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Clinical Nurse Specialist
