Job summary

Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our outpatient hematology/oncology team. You will conduct independent visits, manage acute and chronic hematologic and oncologic conditions, and collaborate with physicians to plan treatment and provide patient education.

The role emphasizes professional growth, mentorship, CME support, and a collaborative environment with one of the region’s largest APP teams. On-site clinic in Maryland with robust benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • MSN from an accredited nursing school and completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing NP, preferably in oncology/hematology.
  • RN licensure and current NP state license; AOCNP preferred; BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term relationships with patients and families during treatment.
  • Provide continuity of care and support patients navigating complex diagnoses.
  • Participate in treatment planning, symptom management, survivorship, and education.

  • The general pay scale for this position at MOH is$ $113,871.43 - $175,362.00 per year. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

Responsibilities

Practice at the Top of Your License
  • Conduct independent patient visits and treatment follow-ups.
  • Manage acute and chronic hematologic and oncologic conditions in partnership with physicians.
  • Participate in treatment planning, symptom management, supportive care, and survivorship care.
  • Perform procedures (i.e. bone marrow biopsies) and provide comprehensive patient education.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Nurse Practitioner

Mastersof Sciencein Nursing (MSN) fromanaccredited nursingschooland successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. This position typically requiresaminimumof 3yearsofexperience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably inthe chosen specialty. RN state licensureand current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure asaNurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred. Currentbasic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

OR
Physician Assistant

Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requiresa minimum of3yearsofexperience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably inthe chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Currentbasic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

No call requirements; Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-430, no weekends or after hours. Office is closed on major holidays. Likely transition to 4.5 day work week after completion of onboarding.
