Job summary

UW Medical Center Montlake is hiring a temporary full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Hospital Assistant for the Operating Room. The role is 40 hours per week, day shift, 6:00am–2:30pm, six months duration, benefits-eligible.

You will clean and restock procedure rooms, assist with OR set-ups, transport patients and specimens, and support patient transfers. Requires WA NAC, HS diploma/GED, six months healthcare experience or equivalent, and BLS on hire. Located in Seattle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required on hire.

Job Description UW Medical Center Montlake – Operating Room has an outstanding job opportunity for a temporary full-time (100% FTE) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Hospital Assistant. This position is benefits-eligible and anticipated to be up to 6 months in duration.

WORK SCHEDULE

Temporary Day Shift 100% FTE (40 hours per week) 6:00am-2:30pm; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Work in a diverse and fast-paced environment OR CNAs clean and restock procedure rooms with supplies, remove used or excess equipment and supplies, set up exam rooms, and assist with cleaning the operating room as patients are discharged

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning operating rooms after surgical cases

• Transporting specimens, supplies, and equipment

• Assisting with patient transfers

REQUIREMENTS

• Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of Washington required
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Six months of experience involving customer service in a healthcare setting OR six months of experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum: $25.85 hourly

Pay Range Maximum: $37.00 hourly
