Job summary

UW Medical Center Montlake is offering CNA/PCT opportunities in Seattle, WA. Positions are 90% FTE (36 hours/week) with a flexible schedule and regular work assignments under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care, assistance with daily activities, and support for treatments, transport, and basic clerical tasks, with opportunities to contribute to patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current WA CNA certification with NA-C credential number on resume.
  • High school diploma and six months direct patient care or healthcare customer service experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Valid AHA BLS CPR card by start date.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting, eating.
  • Maintain a safe environment of care and gather supplies as needed.
  • Transport patients and equipment within the hospital.
  • Prepare patients for surgery and perform non-invasive lab procedures.
  • Take vital signs and document findings.
  • Perform various clerical tasks as needed.

SCHEDULE

90% FTE - 36 hours per week Variable shift No set schedule

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating
  • Maintain a safe environment of care
  • Patient transportation
  • Prepare patients for surgery
  • Perform non-invasive lab procedures
  • Transport equipment and supplies
  • Assist with treatments
  • Perform various clerical tasks
  • Take vital signs
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)
  • High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start date.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS AND POSITION DETAILS

Pay Range Minimum: $28.83 hourly

Pay Range Maximum: $41.27 hourly

Other Compensation: Night Shift Premium - $2.25/hour

Evening Shift Premium - $1.50/hour

Weekend Shift Premium - $1.50/hour

Overtime Pay

Shift: Alternate Work Shift (United States of America)
