Job Summary

Provides assistance and support to the technologist and to the department the Hospital Assistant II is assigned. As an integral part of the imaging team, assist and support the department with responsibilities including:

1. Prepare patients for exams.
2. Assist technologists in room turnover and equipment cleaning.
3. Transport patients to and from the radiology department.
4. Assist patients onto the imaging table when necessary.
5. Audit and distribute supplies and linen.
6. Transport equipment or lab specimens as required.
7. Follow department safety policies, including MR and radiation safety practices.
8. Work at all UCSF Medical Center locations as needed.

Additional Details

The salary range for this position is $29.63 - $36.99 per hour. The final salary and benefits are subject to UC policies and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Flexibility to rotate shifts and cover weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital acute care setting or imaging center preferred.
• BLS – CPR certification preferred.
