Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an armed Security Response Officer to protect patients, staff and visitors. The role collaborates with the security team and hospital personnel to maintain a safe environment, de-escalate conflicts, and act as the hospital's first responder.

The position requires a valid Louisiana license, a high school diploma, and prior security or military experience. Shifts are 12 hours, with day/night rotation, and pay ranges from $18.00 to $26.00 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid LA license and excellent driving record.
• Five years of experience in military, law enforcement or security is preferred.
• Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) active certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to, de-escalates and investigates situations reported to Security in accordance with hospital-approved methods.
• Maintains knowledge of locations, buildings, access routes and admitting requirements; responds appropriately to security needs.
• Contacts EBRSO authorities to investigate suspicious activities or security violations.
• Maintains knowledge of control panels, alarms, and related security equipment.
• Performs exterior patrols of hospital facilities using a company vehicle.
• Drives a security vehicle.
• Completes written reports for accurate reporting.
