Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking an Hospital Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage timely billing, follow-up, and resolution of third‑party payer claims across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and government programs.

You will prepare, submit, and monitor UB-04 claims, collaborate with coding and clinical teams, and support the denial management processes to promote proper reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of billing experience or equivalent.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Experience with UB-04 billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely hospital facility claims (UB-04) using electronic and paper billing methods, ensuring correct revenue codes, modifiers, and service lines.
• Perform account follow-up on outstanding facility balances, securing reimbursement in compliance with hospital policies and payer-specific rules.
• Assist Denial and Payment Variance teams by researching, analyzing, and resolving denials; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Collaborate with coding, revenue integrity, patient access, and clinical departments to resolve charge capture, documentation, or registration issues affecting claims.
