Job Description

Under supervision of the Radiology Manager and/or Lead/Staff Technologist, the Hospital Aide supports clinical activities in the Radiology Department. Responsibilities include assisting in patient care and treatment across all age groups, and providing professional support to department customers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics for lifting and transporting patients.
  • Ability to handle and serve patients safely and comfortably.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal communication.
  • Completion of BLS Heart Saver course within probation period and maintenance of certification.
  • High motivation and responsibility; ability to work independently.
  • Preferred: previous patient transport experience and hospital setting experience.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays; shift rotation may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected; ability to hear, communicate orally, manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and transfer up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently.
  • Ability to perform CPR.
Communication Skills

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
