Job summary

New Life Center seeks a Dining Services Manager to lead the shelter's food operation with hospitality and stewardship. You will oversee staff, volunteers, and program participants, ensuring nutritious meals, compliance with health standards, and a dignified dining experience.

You will also support the job skills training program and coordinate community donations, aiming to transform lives through service and faith-driven leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial kitchen operations and food safety regulations.
• Must be engaged in a local church and demonstrate Christ-centered service.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead the dining services team with clear direction and core values.
• Oversee daily meal prep, service, quality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Coordinate donations, FIFO handling, waste minimization, and community partnerships.
• Support kitchen-based job skills training and guest recovery efforts.
• Maintain welcoming dining environments and professional guest interactions.
• Supervise volunteers and manage inventory, ordering, and budgeting.
