Job summary

Magnolia Hospice seeks a Volunteer Coordinator to plan, develop, and oversee the hospice volunteer program, ensuring adequate support for patients, families, and operations. You will recruit, train, supervise, and retain volunteers while maintaining compliance with hospice regulations and organizational policies.

You will work closely with the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) to identify volunteer needs, support patient care, and promote engagement and retention across the program.

Qualifications

• Excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise in accordance with Agency’s policies and applicable laws.
• Time management and strong written/verbal communication abilities.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and select volunteers to meet hospice program needs.
• Develop and provide volunteer training and orientation programs.
• Collaborate with IDG to identify volunteer needs and support patient care.
• Provide ongoing supervision, guidance and evaluation of volunteers.
• Maintain up-to-date volunteer files and service statistics.
• Support the QAPI program through evaluation and reporting.
• Provide direct volunteer services as needed to support patient care and operations.
