Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice seeks a compassionate veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services across Westborough, Holden, Grafton and Shrewsbury, MA. You will join a team that values thoughtful, relationship-based care and works to honor every pet’s story in their home environment.

You’ll practice independently in the field with mentorship and a schedule offering 2–5 days per week along with guaranteed base salary and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent (DVM/VMD/BVMS) required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Weekend scheduling flexibility (weekends on your terms).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• License verification, background check and driving record review prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services.
• Travel to clients’ homes to care for pets in a comfortable setting.
• Offer compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life guidance to families.
• Support families through grief with empathy and clear communication.
